We Are Farming Minds is Centre Stage at Beef Stock Festival 2026
At a time when rural communities are facing increased pressure and barriers to accessing support, leading Herefordshire charity We Are Farming Minds, has stepped in to raise mental health awareness and to help the county’s agricultural community, with a mission to make sure that every farmer knows – you are not alone.
To help spread the message even further across rural communities, We Are Farming Minds are joining the line up in Bromyard, Herefordshire, for The Beefy Boys & Nozstock festival, Beef Stock 2006, featuring a range of speakers and experts, on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August.
The new food and farming stagecreated and designed by We Are Farming Mindsand sponsored by Two Farmers, is hosting a range of agricultural innovators, food specialists and farming entrepreneurs for lively talks and debates across the two days.
Featuring the National Federation of Young Farmers, there will be a panel session focused on farming for the next generation, as well as James and Ellie from master butchers Anthony Legges, talking about strip feeding systems and how traditional techniques are making a much needed comeback. Plus, topical talks discussing everything from on and off farm diversifications to the history of woodlands. Hosted by Gareth Watkins from Gillow Farm & Watkins Contractors, alongside Will Probert 6th generation farmer, chartered surveyor and auctioneer, who will be joined by well-known TV presenter and Herefordshire farmer Ally Hunter Blair.
The whole weekend is a real passion project for The Beefy Boys and is packed full of inspiring foodies from across the UK, with some exciting BBQ names on the BBQ HQ Stage with expert demos, tutorials, tips, and tricks. Food lovers can expect a fire-powered feast of low ‘n’ slow cooked briskets, sizzling Tomahawk steaks, whole BBQ chickens, and saucy sides across multiple Beefy Boys stations, joined by top-tier guest vendors including Gurt Wings, Doughzy Mares Pizza, Jerk Bay Ltd, Splitscreen Ice Cream and many more.
Beyond the grills, visitors can browse a marketplace of local traders, artisan butchers, BBQ brands, and food producers. There’ll also be interactive cookery stalls and a fiery chilli-eating contest from the infamous Clifton Chilli Club. Top-notch music and live entertainment across both the Dingly Dell and The Stockyard sponsored by Wye Valley Brewery and a range of family-friendly entertainment, and music from Jake of Diamonds, Okapi, Razzamo, The Social Ignition, Venus Fly Kings and more!
