Award-winning burger legends The Beefy Boys are on the hunt for Exeter-based ‘burger testers’, ahead of the launch of their latest restaurant on Queen Street this September. But before the doors officially open, they’re offering a first taste for those lucky enough to secure a table and a reward of 20% off their food bill.

The Beefy Boys will run an exclusive soft launch period from Tuesday 1^st – Thursday 10^th September, giving early bookers the chance to try the menu before anyone else at a discounted rate, in exchange for honest feedback on the food, service and overall experience.

Spaces are strictly limited and available via pre-booking only.

The new restaurant, located in the former BrewDog site, will serve The Beefy Boys’ signature bold dirty-style burgers, made with 100% grass-fed, dry-aged Herefordshire beef.

Menu highlights include The Beefy Boy, The Dirty Boy and the iconic Oklahoma Onion Boy Cali Style burger, which won Best Burger at the 2023 National Burger Awards, Loaded Pastrami Fries, saucy Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, and delicious veggie favourites such as the Beanie Boy and Leafy Boy burgers.

The Beefy Boys have built a loyal following across Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath, Oxford and Nottingham.

The Exeter soft launch will give diners a sneak peek of the new restaurant whilst helping the new team to fine-tune their food, drink and service ahead of the official opening.

Co-founder Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy said,

“We’re all super excited to be opening in Exeter and to joining its buzzing food scene. We’ve always wanted to bring our love of dirty burgers, loaded fries, cocktails and boozy milkshakes to the city. So, when the former BrewDog site came up, it just felt like the perfect fit for us.

Before we officially launch on Friday 11^th September, we want to make sure everything is spot on, and the best way to do that is to enlist the help of local people. If you love burgers, this is your chance to get in early, have your say and get 20% off while you’re at it.”

It’s been a huge few years for The Beefy Boys – from winning the National Burger Awards in 2023 to placing 4^th in the World Food Championships in Indianapolis in November 2024, to the release of their second cookbook, The Beefy Boys’ Great British BBQ published by Quadrille (£20).
