Three huge stars of stage and screen announced as international smash-hit The Vagina Monologues comes to Cheltenham for five exclusive performances

Stars from Eastenders, Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing will take to the stage at The Everyman Theatre next month for five exclusive performances of Eve Ensler’s Broadway and West End smash-hit The Vagina Monologue, which can only be seen in Cheltenham.

Nina Wadia, Michelle Collins and Louisa Lytton will all take the spotlight from 1st – 5th November to give voice to a chorus of lusty, outrageous, poignant, brave and thoroughly human stories. The show has previously been described as the ultimate girls night out that will leave audience members feeling empowered, and switching between laughing one moment and crying the next.

Nina Wadia OBE is an award-winning actress renowned for her timeless sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, as well as her role as Zainab Masood in BBC One’s EastEnders for which she won ‘Best Comedy Performance’ and ‘Best Onscreen Partnership’ at the British Soap Awards. As well as her TV success Nina more recently starred opposite Will Smith in Disney favouriteAladdin and A Streetcat Named Bob with Luke Treadaway.

Michelle Collins is best known for her roles in both Eastenders and Coronation Street, but is no stranger to the stage having previously starred in the musicals Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Daddy Cool, Calendar Girls and Never Forget

Louisa Lytton is best known for her role as Ruby Allen in BBC’ One’s EastEnders, and as the youngest ever contestant to take part in Strictly Come Dancing, reaching the finals in the fourth series. Her previous theatre performances include Kendra in The Gulf, Rizzo in the UK Tour of Grease, and Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the British Shakespeare Company

The Vagina Monologues was crafted after Ensler conducted interviews with over 200 women regarding their views on sex, relationships and violence against women. The play is a celebration of all the ways in which women are united and unique in their experience of owning a vagina. The Vagina Monologues comes to The Everyman Theatre from Tuesday 1st November – Saturday 5th November with tickets priced from £15.
