The Old Bell Hotel presents Howl-oween the ultimate Halloween dog show in the South Cotswolds.

The Old Bell Hotel brings Howl-oween to the hilltop town of Malmesbury this October. The special celebration promises an afternoon of feel-good fun with The Cotswolds’ “best-dressed pooches” and all the ingredients of classic Halloween festivities. Howl-oween a new addition to the Cotswolds calendar, will bring together four-legged friends, families and visitors for a joyous autumnal event.

Taking place on Saturday 31st October, at The Cloisters Gardens in Malmesbury, from 12pm–3.30pm, the event will fill the town with community spirit and charm, with activities for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can join in the fun and excitement of the dog show with the option for pooches to dress up in the latest canine couture, as they take part in the playful costume competition.  Explore the range of stalls and discover artisan treats and treasures offering something special for you, a loved one or your pampered pet.

The team at The Old Bell Hotel are excited to host an afternoon of autumn charm for locals and visitors to celebrate Halloween, experiencing all the seasonal scents of autumn. Roasted chestnuts, toffee apples and warm apple punch will be on offer, along with novelty hotdogs Franken-Furters and Beastly Burgers.

Whether entering with a four-legged friend or watching as a spectator, there will be plenty of fun and laughter, as small and large pooches strut their spookiest and silliest costumes in the dog show. Competition categories will include Spookiest Costume, Best Senior Dog, Best Human and Dog Duo and of course Best in Show.

There will be trick or treat fun to enjoy throughout the afternoon with artisan market stalls offering everything from freshly baked goods to pet supplies and unique gifts. With or without their signature dog show costume, pet owners will be able to create a keepsake of the day with a pet portrait, where your four-legged friend can strike a pose in front of the camera.

“The team at The Old Bell Hotel and I are super excited to bring Howl-oween to Malmesbury, creating a fun celebration that brings our local community together. We are looking forward to seeing all the dogs in the show and especially those dressed up in their brilliant costumes; I am sure it will be a highlight of the event. We cannot wait to host this first-time event and welcome families and friends to join us for what promises to be a brilliant afternoon.”
