The Beefy Boys Through to Finals in World Food Championships

One Step Closer to winning Best Burger in the World!

They’ve only gone and done it again! The Beefy Boys, Hereford’s homegrown burger sensations, have secured a spot in the highly competitive finals of the World Food Championships in Indianapolis. The results were announced late last night (Sunday 10th November), making The Beefy Boys one of only seven teams who will now advance to the finals on Tuesday 12th November.

And not only did they progress to the finals, but they also won the Judge’s Choice award for their ‘Boujee Boy’ burger, submitted in the semi-finals’ Extreme Burger theme and consisting of two dry-aged grass-fed beef patties, American cheese, black truffle infused dirty mayo, bone marrow, miso onions, and champagne pickled gherkins. The Judges Choice accolade further solidifies their place among the world’s elite burger creators.

We are just four random lads from Hereford, and now we are making burger history”, said Murf, co-founder of The Beefy Boys.

He previously noted, “The World Food Championships is such a huge part of The Beefy Boys’ story, and coming second at the 2014 competition gave us the push to open our first restaurant. Heading back in 2024, ten years later, feels like a homecoming. Winning a gold medal this time would be the ultimate full-circle moment for us.

The World Food Championships final showdown will take place on Tuesday 12th November, where The Beefy Boys will bring out their award-winning Oklahoma Onion Boy – the burger that won them the Best Burger in the UK in 2023 – for the competition’s Signature Burger round.

The competition is fierce, but The Beefy Boys are ready and excited to take on the world’s best for a shot at the ultimate title. They have the support of the UK’s burger-loving community behind them all the way!
