Royal Three Counties Show returns for a spectacular weekend of family fun this June!

The Royal Three Counties Show, one of the UK’s largest celebrations of our glorious countryside and rural life, will make a triumphant return to Three Counties Showground in Malvern from 14 – 16 June 2024, with exciting new experiences and features, plenty of family fun for all ages, extraordinary entertainment, delicious food and drink, and – of course – lots and lots of animals!

This year’s show will feature a brand-new showjumping ring, taking pride of place next to the mouth-watering Food & Drink Festival, offering a dramatic spectacle of showjumping classes to entertain visitors while they tuck into some of the UK’s best street food and local produce. The Show will feature a phenomenal 54 qualifying horses for the prestigious annual Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), giving visitors the opportunity to have a first look at some of the best competitors in the county qualify in their classes.

The Grow Your Own and Small Holders Village, a fantastic new addition to this year’s Show, will offer visitors the chance to learn more about growing your own fruit, vegetables and edible plants, as well as expert advice on how to keep a smallholding. Designed in the style of an allotment, the interactive area will offer the chance to dig for potatoes, get up close to a working hive and join in a bee keeping masterclass, purchase delicious local honeys, get advice on home composting and soil education (plus the chance to peek inside a giant wormery), try your hand at some traditional skills, including stonemasonry and wool felting, and a range of informative talks on how to keep poultry, alpacas and goats and how to grow your own produce.

The new ‘Machinery Mile’ will showcase an impressive array of cutting-edge farming equipment from big name brands. Visitors can marvel at these giant machines, and then see the parade of vintage tractors from days gone by, lovingly restored by dedicated enthusiasts, in fascinating contrast to their modern counterparts.

The innovative Future of Farming area will make a return to the 2024 Show, featuring an excellent line-up of guest speakers and expert panellists, discussing pressing industry topics including soil health, net zero, water quality, up and coming AgriTech development and alternative incomes, and how to support farmers to grow and sustain their business in the current climate.

This year’s Main Area will feature a packed programme of exhilarating entertainment, including the return of Royal Three Counties Show favourites, the Bolddog Lings freestyle motorcross stunt display team. A new Racehorse to Riding Horse feature class on Sunday 16 June will showcase the versatility and skill of these impressive animals, while new livestock classes will fill the main arena with hundreds of cattle and sheep, as well as rare and native breed farm animals.

Alice Arnold, Show Lead for Royal Three Counties Show, commented: The Royal Three Counties Show, which has been taking place for over a century now, has become a much-loved event in the calendar. This year’s show will feature over 6,000 animals, hundreds of events and activities for visitors of all ages, an exhilarating programme of live entertainment, some of the best local food and drink, plus the chance to enjoy a fun-filled weekend celebrating our glorious countryside!

With all this to enjoy, and more still to be revealed, this year’s Royal Three Counties Show promises to be a highlight of the summer!
