Gloucestershire’s new government backed scheme Food For Thought, has announced that renowned international speaker and food & drink industry expert Professor David Hughes AKA Dr Food, will lead its next event, Global Food & Drink Trends, taking place in Cheltenham on Tuesday 19th November.

Dr Food will delve into the latest consumer food and drink industry trends, offering valuable insights for local food and drink businesses. This landmark event is a unique opportunity to learn how shifting trends could impact your operation and strategy. David will share his personal experiences from speaking to senior agribusiness and food industry managers about worldwide food industry developments, that are and will affect the wider industry. Attendees will be given new ways in which they might respond to combat threats and embrace opportunities in 2025 and beyond.
Food for Thought, the new countywide community interest company (CIC), is offering this unique opportunity to food and drink producers, suppliers, farmers and hospitality businesses, and encouraging them to attend the event to hear firsthand the latest trends, advancements and opportunities from a leading international specialist.
Working in partnership with Made in Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire County Council, and the Growth Hub network, Food for Thought is made up of local business owners, organisations, and experts who are working together to build a vibrant and engaged community that champions positive trade and a sustainable and circular economy for local businesses. All event tickets are subsidised thanks to the support from Food for Thought’s partners and all events will be held at food and drink related businesses, which means 100% of the ticket revenue will be invested back into the local economy
