Farming stars Kaleb Cooper and Adam Henson to headline Royal Three Counties Show

Clarkson’s Farm favourite, Kaleb Cooper, will join the special guest line-up for the first time at this year’s Royal Three Counties Show, promising to draw farming and Insta-fans alike with his unique country charm on Saturday 18 June 2022.

The Cotswolds-bred contractor, who recently launched his own Hawkstone Cider and announced his autobiography at the age of 23, has brought farming to the masses thanks to his starring role in the hit series which follows Jeremy Clarkson’s journey at Diddly Squat Farm.

Visitors can expect to hear about Cooper’s lifelong passion for farming – which started with just three chickens at the age of 13 – and what capers are to come in the second series of Clarkson’s Farm. They might even spot him sampling ciders in the Three Counties Cider and Perry Festival.

Kaleb Cooper said: “From a very young age, watching tractors in a field and playing with my Farm Playmobil, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. It’s always been farming and I can’t wait to take part in the showground’s celebrations, to mark 100 years of the Royal Three Counties Show in Malvern.”

BBC Countryfile presenterAdam Henson will return as the prestigious Show Ambassador and will appear on all three show days alongside over 150 activities and events celebrating fantastic food, farming and family fun including over 6,000 animals to see.

The family favourite show, which celebrates its centenary from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June, will also welcome award-winning food writer, photographer and River Cottage alumnus, Mark Diacono, to host talks and demos in the new open air Food & Drink Festival at the show.

Having spent most of his life eating, growing, writing and talking about food, the Otter Farm founder has a refreshing approach, which has inspired a new generation to grow and make the most of their produce in the kitchen.

Mark now runs courses, hosts demos and runs prestigious foodie events across the country, and couldn’t be better placed to join local chefs in celebrating everything the Three Counties has to offer – with treats and tasters in store for weekend visitors. He will be joined each day by Suki Pantal, who recently featured in the popular Channel 4 programme ‘The Great Cookbook Challenge’.

Mark Diacono said: “The Royal Three Counties Show is a firm favourite and I am really looking forward to hosting the culinary theatre at the centre of the new regional Food & Drink Festival.”

A real highlight is set to be the new STIHL® Timbersports British National Championships, with the world’s best athletes competing in national and international events in axe and sawing disciplines. The Three Counties Showground’s dedicated arena will host the British Championship and British Rookie Championship – with demos taking place throughout the weekend too.

If you like a laugh, the Young Farmers’ soap-box racing and camel suit racing competitions are a must-see, while little ones will love the Fur, Feather and Farm area, filled with fluffy friends, and the Countryside Arena, featuring pony shows, falconry, fishing and more.

Other highlights include the Bolddog Lings Motorcycle Display, The Red Devils freefalling team, kids’ cookery workshops, meet Worcester Warriors rugby heroes, cutting-edge and vintage machinery displays, fabulous countryside shopping, and a gardener’s dream in the International Orchid Show.

All this and much more to look forward to, and the best thing is children under 16 go free – making the Royal Three Counties Show an unmissable family show this summer.
