WANTED: Cambridge burger testers to trial The Beefy Boys before new restaurant opens

Award-winning burger legends The Beefy Boys are on the hunt for Cambridge-based ‘burger testers’, ahead of the launch of their latest restaurant on Bene’t Street this December.

But before the doors officially open, the team is offering local burger lovers the chance to be among the first to secure a table at the new restaurant, and a reward of 20% off their food in return for feedback.

The Beefy Boys will run an exclusive soft launch period from Monday 23^rd November – Thursday 10^th December (excluding 26^th November launch party), giving early bookers the chance to try the menu at a discounted rate before the restaurant officially opens.

Spaces are strictly limited and available via pre-booking only.

The new restaurant, located in the former BrewDog site on Bene’t Street, will serve The Beefy Boys’ signature bold dirty-style burgers, made using grass-fed, dry-aged Herefordshire beef from the brand’s home county, as champions of local suppliers with a proudly independent approach.

Menu highlights include The Beefy Boy, The Dirty Boy and the iconic Oklahoma Onion Boy Cali Style burger, which won Best Burger at the 2023 National Burger Awards, Loaded Pastrami Fries, saucy Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, and delicious veggie favourites such as the Beanie Boy and Leafy Boy burgers.

The Cambridge soft launch will give diners a sneak peek at the new restaurant whilst helping the new team to fine-tune their food, drink and service ahead of the official opening.

Co-founder Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy said,

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching in Cambridge and opening our first restaurant in the east of England. We can’t wait to join the thriving independent food scene and look forward to bringing our love of dirty burgers, loaded fries, cocktails and boozy milkshakes to the city.

The Beefy Boys have built a loyal following across Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath, Oxford, Nottingham and Exeter and It’s been a huge few years for The Beefy Boys – from winning the National Burger Awards in 2023 to placing 4^th in the World Food Championships in Indianapolis in November 2024, to the release of their second cookbook, The Beefy Boys’ Great British BBQ published by Quadrille (£20).
