This summer, Wye Valley Brewery’s award-winning 1985 Lager is teaming up with Lakefest one of the summer’s most anticipated music festivals. Gather friends and family and get ready for good times and great tunes from your favourite bands at the five-day festival in Herefordshire, 5th – 9th August 2026.

Headline artists this year include a fantastic line-up of bands, with 90’s favourites The Charlatans, dance music icon Example, chart-topping floor fillers Madness and the Guinness Book of Records’ most successful female band, Bananarama. Plus, Scouting For Girls, Soul II Soul, Lightning Seeds, The Undertones, EMF and many more will play on one of the 12 stages throughout the long weekend, jam-packed with live music and entertainment.
Since its humble beginnings as a cider festival, Lakefest has grown to become one of the UK’s favourite independent festivals, known for its standout live music, diverse daytime activities, and welcoming family atmosphere.
Born and brewed in Herefordshire, the partnership is the ideal match for Wye Valley Brewery’s 1985 lager, as it brings together the best of British and European hops, producing a perfectly balanced pint with a clean, bright finish. Moreish, refreshing, and made for summer days that roll into summer nights!
1985 is the brewery’s first-ever lager, and this year it is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Named after the year the family-run brewery was founded, the premium lager will be available on draught at all bars at the festival. Over the past decade, the lager has earned widespread acclaim, winning numerous awards for the brewery.
Fun festival facts…
- There are nine bars totalling 100 metres in length across the Lakefest arena, keeping festival-goers refreshed all weekend long with their favourite pint of 1985.
- Lakefest will use 45 T-bars to dispense 1985 lager – stacked on top of each other, they’d be more than double the height of the main stage.
- If you were to stack all the reusable pint cups used at Lakefest, the stack would stretch all the way from the Geordies’ bar to the centre of Ledbury, over 7 miles away!
